Stem cell research is one of the most revolutionary and topical areas of scientific research today.The regulatory and ethical frameworks and organisations that govern stem cell research are national and sometimes state based but modern research exists across international collaborations with varying international funding sources. The ASCC is committed to developing important international links and initiatives for the purposes of building scientific collaborations, creating educational opportunities for Australian scientists, enhancing the ASCC’s global reputation, recruiting the best and brightest, communicating the value of Australian research to potential commercial partners and promoting Australia as a location for biotechnology excellence.
