Ethics and Values

The ASCC identifies with the following values and core beliefs and strives to ensure that they are adopted and woven into the fabric of the organisation at all levels of operation.

  • All ASCC activities and the conduct of employees will be of the highest personal, business and scientific ethical standards.
  • All activity, scientific and business, undertaken or funded by the ASCC will be compliant with relevant Commonwealth and State legislation and regulations.
  • Research projects and programs will be selected in a diligent and transparent assessment process and will be closely managed and assessed using performance based methods and evaluation to ensure the highest quality research and to maximise the capture of intellectual property.
  • Funds will be used carefully and strategically to gain maximum return on all investments and expenditure.
  • The ASCC embraces the spirit and practice of broad scientific collaboration with the overall objective of achieving tangible clinical advantages in the shortest possible time.
